Sick Day Guidelines

If your child meets any of the following criteria, please keep them home.

Fever: Temperature is 100 degrees or higher and student has not been fever-free without

the use of medication for 24 hours.

Nausea/Vomiting: Student has vomited in the past 12-24 hours and has not kept down 2

normal meals

Diarrhea: Student has had loose/liquid stool and normal patterns have not returned

Colds/Cough: Student has a very runny nose, secretions are not at a

controllable/containable level, or a cough that the student cannot control

Sore throat: Student has a sore throat with or without fever in combination with any of the

following: headache, upset stomach, or rash

Other: Student is too uncomfortable to concentrate in class because of other complaints.
